I keep a lot of notebooks and file folders filled with fiction projects. Each project is at some weird point, most of them will never see the light of day.
A lot of writers will tell you the hardest part is the title. Without titles, I’d have no idea what I am working on. Titles are easy. Titles, whether you end up using it or not, is the very first thing you should apply to a project. It gives it life even if it ends up dead in the water.
Here are just a few titles in the pile right now:
Cute Girls in Shitty Civics
Tall, beautiful blondes
Drugs and Whiskey got me through it
Here There’d Be Monsters
Missed Mornings
Sunrise in the West Hills
Kill City
Family Matters
The Affricative “K”
NaNoWriMo is coming up. Which means we might get to see one of these titles put into action.
